AAT, a premier media education company which owns a chain of hi-end media education colleges throughout India has entered into a partnership with Dibrugarh University. The university has 104 colleges under its domain. 'The partnership with Dibrugarh University is to open up a venue for international media studies for students in North East India closer home' a company spokesperson said. To an e-mail response, Rathish Babu, CEO, AAT said, “The partnership with AAT signals the opening of a complete media study centre at the university campus to offer programmes in Audio Engineering, Graphics & Animation, Digital Filmmaking and Games Design & Development with SAE as the education partner.” The university has also entered into an arrangement to affiliate colleges in Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi and Bangalore to offer diploma and degree courses in the above mentioned subjects.

The Hindustan Group of Institutions (HGI), established in the year 1968, is well reputed in India and abroad for its academic and infrastructural excellence, especially in the area of Aviation Engineering.Hindustan College of Engineering, a constituent unit of the Hindustan Group of Institutions, is one among the first batch of eight self-financing engineering colleges started in Tamil Nadu in the year 1985. In recognition of the academic and infrastructural excellence, University Grants Commission (UGC) has conferred Deemed-to-be University status to Hindustan College of Engineering in May 2008, under the name “Hindustan Institute of Technology & Science (HITS)”, under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956.AAT has recently joined hands for technical collaboration with Hindustan University to offer 2 year Full time MBA and one year full time PGDMM Programmes in the Media and Entertainment domain. Both the Programmes come with a Certification from Hindustan University which is approved by AICTE. An industry source remarks ‘this course beat most of them hand down on content and delivery’.

AAT signs MOU with IGNOU Connect
Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), the fifth largest university in the world
commenced certificate courses in the distance learning mode in association with AAT IGNOU
has a strong network of over 961 Study Centers spread across India. Under the MOU, AAT and
IGNOU will offer 6-month certificate courses in Digital Sound and Digital Film Production. The
Certificate Programmes are designed with the objective of creating awareness and
understanding of various processes of production in sound and film thereby generating more
self-employment opportunities for aspiring students. Credits are exchangeable for higher
education at other National or International educational bodies.
